This is what cute looks like!

I had this picture saved on my computer and just had to post in on here. I just love it because she looks so happy. I know she has her days when her reflux is worse than normal and she doesn't feel good, so that makes these happy moments even better.

The best way to end the day

I couldn't think of a better way to end my day than spending time holding onto Kaylee until she falls asleep. Every night Daniel will usually feed her and then she will fall asleep while he is holding her. She kinda just dozes off and isn't completely asleep so we always put her in our bed. While Daniel is taking a shower and getting ready for bed I will usually lay in bed with Kaylee until she falls asleep. Sometimes she is fussy and fighting sleep so I have to hold her really close to me until she relaxes and falls asleep and other times, like tonight, she pretty much falls asleep on her own. Tonight as she was falling asleep she kept opening her eyes and looking up at me to make sure I was still here until she was finally completely asleep. I took this picture of her just a minute ago... it's kinda dark because I didn't want to turn the flash on and wake her up. She just looks so peaceful laying there asleep. I don't know why but it's just so relaxing to just lay here with her and it makes me wish she would never grow up so that I could always spend this time with her.

Kaylee's First Visit to a Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Daniel and I took Kaylee to pick out her pumpkin for her first Halloween. I wasn't sure how it was all going to turn out because it was time for her to eat and she was pretty fussy on the way there. Luckily, once we got to the pumpkin patch, she was actually in a pretty good mood! She seemed to enjoy looking around at all of the pumpkins and liked being able to touch them. Even though she will never remember her first Halloween, I want us going to pick out pumpkins and taking pictures to be something we do every year.

I am hoping to get a few more pictures of her with her pumpkin sometime next week. Last night I went and bought a big pot of mums to put on our front porch so I hope the weather is nice so I can get pictures of her with the flowers too!

The cutest Tigger I've ever seen!

This weekend we got Kaylee dressed up in her Halloween costume to get some pictures. I knew she would be cute in her little Tigger costume but she was even more adorable than I had expected! Look at those ears and those pretty blue eyes!

Last Friday Kaylee got a present in the mail from her grandma and grandpa... It's a vibrating chair that rocks when she moves around in it. She loves this thing!

She has figured out that if she kicks her feet out the chair will rock... so she sits there and starts kicking as hard as she can while looking around talking to herself. I like it because it's easy to carry around the house, even when she is in it... plus she sits at the perfect angle to take her meds and to eat. Now if I could just get her to hold her bottle everything would be great!

traveling baby

well over the past few weeks i have got to see my little baby girl do alot of different things. one of the things she has started doing alot is smiling at us. it is so cute cause uyou can rub her upper lip or give her a little kiss on her cheek or just play with her in some sort of way and she will make one of the cutest little smiles and sometimes she will even giggle a little bit. i remember the first time i made her smile i just sat there and laughed because she was laughing at me and the harder i laughed at her the harder she laughs at me. she really seems like she is growing up pretty fast and i want her to stay a little baby as long as she can cause we really do enjoy her.

last weekend little kaylee bug got to take her first plane flight ever(she beat me by about 22 years) and i really missed her and mommy. i was so proud to hear that they made it there and that little kaylee did good the whole way there. we didnt know what to expect. i unfortunatley did not get to join the two of them on their trip because just like every weekend i had to leave town, i had to leave a day early so it kinda helped that i was not at home missing them it just made it feel like any other weekend that im away.

she really has been a great baby, she really loves to travel and go places weather its just down the road in the car or on a plane to go see all her uncles and aunts and great grandmother. but for now im just gonna keep doing whatever keeps her happy and calm and just enjoy every minute we get to spend with her cause it will all be gone sooner than we think.

Someone is 2 months old!

K Bugs,

I can't believe you are 2 months old! You are still changing all the time and it's so much fun to see you become more aware of what's going on around you. I think your favorite thing to do is to lay on your changing table and talk to your flower. Anytime I lay you down up there you instantly start trying to talk to it and it's just so cute! Today we sat on the couch together while we were waiting for 30 minutes to pass before you could eat and we talked to each other the whole time! You kept smiling at me and when I would talk to you, you would watch my mouth and start moving yours like you were trying to repeat me.

You really do make things easy on your daddy and I. Now you are drinking 6oz each time you have a bottle but you still drink the same number of ounces each day so that means mommy doesn't have to wash bottles as much! Plus you are now sleeping 8-9 hours at night! Just a month ago we were having to make sure you stayed awake for a while before bedtime but now we just let you sleep whenever you want and you still always sleep through the night even if you take a nap right before bedtime. We really couldn't ask for a better baby! If it wasn't for being so paranoid about you getting choked everything would be perfect! You have to have your 2 month shots this Friday and I am NOT looking forward to it! I really hope you don't have any reactions to the medicine... You love taking naps on the couch downstairs during the day. I lay you on daddy's pillow on your side and you just look so comfortable.

This past weekend you had your first plane ride back home to TN. I was afraid you would get fussy either on the way to Raleigh, while we were at the airport or while we were on the plane, but you actually did great! You slept the whole way to the airport and didn't wake up until a hour before our plane took off (it was delayed almost 2 hours). The flight was full so I wasn't able to leave you in your carseat. I held you while you just laid there and smiled at me until you fell asleep for most of the flight.

While we were at home you got to see all of your grandparents, your great grandmother, aunts and uncles, cousins and great aunt and uncles. You were pretty much a happy baby the whole time we were home. I started getting sick on Saturday and by Monday morning when we were going to fly back home I was even worse. Instead of flying home, your grandma drove us back to NC to meet daddy to take us the rest of the way home. You were very happy to see him and didn't want him to put you down for the rest of the night.

Even though I am writing these letters to you, I like going back and reading what I wrote the month before because it amazes me how fast you are growing! Your so adorable and especially now that you are smiling all the time I love to just sit there and stare at you! I love you so much K Bugs!

Lets talk about me for once!

So I know this blog was made for me to be able to look at years from now see how much Kaylee has changed but for once... this is a post about ME! I am always writing about little K-bugs because...well... that's pretty much all that is going on in my life anyways. I have been thinking a lot here lately about going back to school. I pretty much already have 2 years worth of credits... or something close to it. Ever since I quit going to school it has bothered me knowing that I didn't finish what I had started. I plan on staying home with Kaylee until she starts school so by then it will have been 5 years since I had a job. I have been stressing out wondering if I will be able to find a job like I had before(Accounts Payable & Receivable) or something even better.

Sunday night when I was talking to Christen she mentioned doing night classes... why hadn't I thought about that?!?! So the plan is to go to Davidson County Community College and finish up all of my general requirements and take as many classes there as I can and then transfer to UNC Charlotte and get my bachelors degree in Accounting! I am hoping to either graduate before she starts school or only have a semester's worth of classes left. I know right now my job is to stay at home with Kaylee and raise her the best that I can but at times I kinda feel useless not having a job and helping pay the bills... I want a job that will challenge me... a job that not just anyone can get without a degree. In the past when I was in college I had thought about taking the CPA exam once I graduate. I think after I graduate I will decide if that is what I want to do. I know there's a lot to remember as far as different tax laws go when you become a CPA and sometimes I wonder if I would really be able to remember everything. But that is at least 5 years down the road so for now I will just focus on getting my degree, knowing that no matter what kind of job I end up with, having obtained my degree instead of sitting on the couch eating and playing with a baby is definitely going to make it easier for me to find a job!

But this post can't be all about me... little Kaylee is laying beside me here on the couch asleep and she just looks adorable...don't you think so?
